Unlike all the other Christmas movies found here, however, the sets show a unique and less common view of the Big Apple. Miracle on 34th Street places a heavy emphasis on Macy’s department store (where Santa meets the children). This location is also famous for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, in fact the largest in the world, which winds through the streets of Manhattan.

Since we started this series with London, we must also conclude it with the capital of the United Kingdom! Love Actually is probably everyone’s favorite Christmas rom-com, making everyone want to be in London for the holidays. From the opening and closing scenes at Heathrow airport, through Selfridges department store on Oxford Street, to the famous cue card scene set in Notting Hill… this kind of vacation, as the movie does, could really bring everyone together.
